Hosted by Griša Šoba, Igor Andrenšek & JAŠA

19.00 | The Monuments Patrons’ Club Strategic Session (Exclusive for Members)

20.30 | Open Doors (Strictly by Invitation)

"Have you ever wanted to step into a painting, a sculpture?" That was the question at the start of The Monuments back in 2021 - a durational project of 17 chapters, each individual chapter conceived as a standalone art project, all working together as one. Today, as we approach the final chapter in Berlin, it is a proven reality: once you step through the door, you are within the artwork.

The Monuments is JAŠA’s largest project to date in his exploration and pursuit of art as a whole; art that doesn't just comment, but actively creates realities. This dynamic journey is now linked to the commitment of the Patrons’ Club & Friends.

A limited series of JAŠA’s works will be unveiled and available during the evening to support the final production phase of the project. In the days leading up to the event, you’ll receive an online catalogue with the available works and prices.

BLUE

Snapshots of a Deep Memory

Captured from a ferry while leaving the coast for the island, these works document the transition into the deep blues only the sea can create.

Every time I lean over the edge, I am pulled back to the moment I was first mesmerised by this sight as a child. Before I had a camera, I would snapshot these fragments in my mind—recording them like anything else you love.

While a selection of works from the With Me and Blue series is available for viewing during the evening, these bodies of work are developed exclusively as commissioned pieces. Due to their preferably large-scale dimensions and the complexity of their execution, each work is realised individually to fit the specific spatial and emotional context of the collector.

SNAPSHOTS

A Trilogy of Accidental Realities

Captured unintentionally—at the moment of putting a phone away or in the blur of chance surroundings—these three works are snapshots of the peripheral. They bypass the conscious mind to document a very precise emotional state. What remains is a Rothko-like abstraction: a raw, unedited atmosphere that transforms a technical accident into an emotional reality.

WITHIN THIS TOUCH

From Internal To Monumental

If The Monuments is the proven reality of stepping into a sculpture, Within This is the blueprint of the soul that built it. These numbered prints represent a vital, earlier body of work—a private odyssey of lines and gestures that preceded the final chapters in Berlin. Available exclusively on May 15 to sustain the project’s final trajectory.

ADORE

Adventures Depart On Rainy Evenings

A new series of artworks by JAŠA

My artistic practice is driven by a perpetual narrative—one that constantly evolves, layers, and engages across diverse forms. The current series of intermedia paintings, ADORE (Adventures Depart On Rainy Evenings), is the newest and most concentrated expression of this ongoing drive.

ADORE is fundamentally dedicated to proving the force of art as the ultimate catalyst for action. It embraces the title’s moodiness, positing that the "rainy evening" is merely the condition—the quiet, introspective moment—from which the adventure, the decisive move toward world-shaping, is launched.

In my understanding, intense emotion is rarely singular; the depth of one often provokes the other. Like a sudden change of season, overwhelming gloom can instantaneously jump into a burst of euphoria. This dynamic is precisely what fuels and provokes the new ADORE works.

Therefore, this is not passive escapism, but an active departure: the painting serves as the interior laboratory where the rules for external transformation are drafted. An artwork becomes a window on your wall to an ever-evolving presence.

Evolving the Urge

The focus on the canvas is a necessary evolution from my previous, external projects.

The mural All Tomorrow's Songs exemplified a direct, public engagement with the social fabric of the city. Meanwhile, the chapters of The Monuments required a durational, systemic evolution across performance and installation, tracking a narrative over time.

ADORE synthesizes this activity. These paintings are a dense material layering of ideas and texture, taking the lessons learned in the public sphere and concentrating that energy into a focused interior space. The constant movement between the expansive, public work and the intimate canvas confirms that the fundamental urge to engage and transform reality remains the same.

In ADORE, the medium is the concentrated message: the adventure—the beginning of the next cycle of creation—departed precisely on the quiet, contemplative evening that becomes the start of an exciting new period.

As the artist states: “The moment you find yourself tiptoeing, hardly holding back the excitement—and then you just do it. You stage dive into a new period with a huge smile on your face.”
